The Survivor Fund
The International Towing and Recovery Hall of Fame and Museum has successfully launched the towing industry Survivor Fund. The Survivor Fund is the latest addition to the ITRHFM family and was established to help the families of the men and women that have made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of service.
The Wall of the Fallen was unveiled September 9, 2006 at the International Towing and Recovery Hall of Fame and Museum to honor those men and women who lose their lives in the line of service. To learn more about the Wall of the Fallen, click here.
The Survivor Fund will begin distribution of funds to families of those men and women who lose their lives in the line of service in the towing industry beginning January 1, 2007. Families will be eligible for a gift of $500 and can apply for these funds by downloading and using this form.The Survivor Fund Request for Funds Form
FIRST SURVIVOR FUNDS RELEASED: CHATTANOOGA, TN – The International Towing and Recovery Hall of Fame and Museum’s Survivor Fund recently released the first donation of $1,000 to a towing operator’s family. The Fund was established in November 2005 by the Board of Directors with help from many volunteers.
Survivor Fund money is available to any family that loses a towing operator in the line of service as long as it is applied for within 90 days from the date of death. Money can be applied for with the necessary pertinent information such as a death certificate and police report of the accident. All money must be applied for by an immediate family member (ie. Mother, father, brother, sister, etc.)
The Goal
Our goal is to raise $500,000 for the Survivor Fund to allow this perpetual fund to always be ready to assist the families in their time of need.
